Your go-to guide for troubleshooting Yealink phones

IMPORTANT: BEFORE DOING A FACTORY RESET, MAKE SURE THAT THE BUTTONS, STATIC IP, ETC ARE ON SNAPBUILDER OR OVERRIDE.

No IPv4 Address

  • Make sure that the Ethernet cable is connected to the Internet port of the phone.
  • Check if the network requires a static IP.
  • Powercycle the phone.
  • Replace the Ethernet cable.
  • Try on a different workstation that has a working phone.
  • Factory reset the phone if the above steps don’t work.
  • If the issue persists, replace the phone.

No Service Error Message (Phone Has IP Address)

  • Check the MAC address on DynaSky.
  • Check for Fail2Ban issues at Fail2Ban.
  • Verify the User Agent on the NMS portal.
  • If the phone is behind a router:
    1. Port forward the phone and access the router interface.
    2. Add the provisioning credentials under Settings > Auto Provision.
    3. Hit the Auto-provision button and monitor the event logs in the NDP portal to see if the phone is reaching the server.
  • If there’s no router:
    1. Ask the user to reboot the phone.
    2. If that doesn’t work, perform a factory reset.
